Skating & Skills Development

This program focuses on developing transferrable skills and game-play situations; aspects that make a great hockey player. Sessions implement power skating and edge work, and various shooting and puck handling techniques, to ensure complete skill development while addressing necessary game-like conditions. Below are some of these programs we offer:

  • Pre-Tryout Prep Program – this program takes place during the month of April for 3-4 weeks leading up to the start of tryouts for minor hockey players.
  • Pre-Season Prep Program – this program takes place during the month of August for 3-4 weeks leading up to the start of seasons for minor hockey players.
  • In-Season Program – this program takes place during the months of September-March during player’s seasons.

Athletes Fuel Cup

The Athletes Fuel Cup is a 3-team tournament style format between drafted teams that play for the cup.  It provides our players with the necessary game-like conditions that they will experience in-season and at their respective training camps. The tournament is for high-level players; NHL/professional, NCAA/USPORTS, OHL/Junior, U18 AAA, and U16 AAA hockey players. It has run every year since 2016. This tournament takes place during the month of August and has become a popular event for members of the community and the local media to follow and attend. It is an invite-only event.
